Student Ministry Building, Plano Campus
Ages 14 and older
This Valentine’s Day weekend, Prestonwood Baptist Church is partnering with The Tim Tebow Foundation and Chi Sigma (a student/parent volunteer organization at Prestonwood Christian Academy) to host Night to Shine, a prom for our special needs community.
On this special night, we’ll come together and celebrate God’s love for people, especially those with special needs. Night to Shine provides a red carpet entrance complete with paparazzi, limousines for photo ops, hair and makeup stations, shoeshine stations and, of course, a dance floor.
Additionally, we want to honor the incredible parents, family members and caretakers for their lifetime commitment to caring for their loved ones with special needs. Our hope is to provide these remarkable people with an opportunity to enjoy a night off, knowing that those they love are having an amazing time in a safe and fun environment with a personally assigned “buddy.” Especially for these caretakers, we have designated an area where they can be free from worry during Night to Shine.
There is no cost to attend this incredible event.

We are expecting more than 400 special needs individuals to attend, so we need more than 600 volunteers to make this event a success. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Each of the guests will need a "buddy" to stay close and display the love of God to them throughout the evening.
