Like a Warm Cup of Java

There is nothing like the comfort of a cup of java on a cool autumn
evening. Like the warm cup offers comfort to the hand that holds it,
Prestonwood Pregnancy Center
(PPC) offers comfort to clients
like Kristin. Kristin came to PPC
in 2007 pregnant, alone, and
scared. With tears streaming down
her face, she questioned how she
would parent on her own. Worry
consumed her every thought.
Much to Kristin’s surprise, when she told her client advocate she was
a Christian, instead of being harshly judged, she was given words of
comfort from the Word of God. "No need to worry; give your worry
to God; the Lord will provide." These three simple phrases brought a
huge sense of relief and placed Kristin’s mind at ease.

These weren’t just phrases to Kristin, but words to live by that renewed her hope
and assurance that God’s truth was true for her. She decided to parent
her son and recognized this as her chance to live differently; to live
God’s way. She felt empowered in the face of this new challenge and
overwhelmed with joy at God’s mercy. Sure enough, God came
through and provided a job that paid for most of her pregnancy. In
addition to the Upscale Resale store resources, He continues to come
through with everything she and Asher Luke need, even to this day.

In place of the annual Friends for Life Luncheon this year, we will have a very special guest join us for an inspiring evening in Addison.
This is sure to be a night to remember as we hear from former President of the United States George W. Bush and take a
stand for our most precious resource...LIFE! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to honor President Bush for all he did to
support the pro-life movement while in office.
