Message from the Pastor
Have you ever wondered how far a simple step of faith can carry
us, or who might catch the light of God’s glory reflected by
the faithful pursuit of our Savior?
When we become a part of God’s vision, even the smallest act
of obedience can touch the whole world, Beyond All Limits.
Today, God is challenging us like never before with a vision to
fulfi ll our mission to reach others for Christ. He is redefining
who we are as a church and what we must do to impact our
community, our state, our nation and the world.
The question is, will we believe and obey? Do we believe God can do much greater things than He has done already in
our church?
God has blessed Prestonwood with people of extraordinary faith, a willingness to trust Him to do great and mighty works. It
is a visionary faith, the kind of faith that allows us to see what others don’t, to see the invisible and attempt the impossible.
Throughout our history, we’ve pursued God’s vision for His church. Each day, we see the miracle of changed lives through
the ministries of our church. Our facilities—the Worship Center, classrooms and meeting spaces, the school—speak of the
faithfulness of our church family and God’s great blessings. These tools are used daily to fulfill God’s mission for the church.
Now, we are called to move into a new and expanded arena of ministry, to become a church with a generational and
exponential impact.
In Isaiah 54:2-3, God commands:
Enlarge the place of your tent and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
Do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities.
It is time for us to expand our tents for ministry, lengthen the cords of love, strengthen the stakes of faith and deepen our
walk with Christ. God has called us as a church and as believers to boldly proclaim His Gospel. He has called on us to exhibit
a “Spirit of Celebration.” He beckons us to a “Stretching of Expectations,” and a “Strengthening of Dedication.”
If we respond as people living under God’s sovereignty, praying and working together with extraordinary faith and obedience,
we know He will lift us to heights Beyond All Limits.
