Prestonwood North is a vibrant
extension of Prestonwood—an
opportunity to minister through a
second location in a new region. The
hundreds who have attended services
at Prosper High School in these first days have experienced
the same Christ-centered worship, the same bold and
uncompromising presentation of God’s Word and the
same warmth of genuine fellowship from leaders and other
members that has for so long defined Prestonwood.
Already, God is doing a great and mighty work through
the North Campus—many people have been baptized, dozens
more have accepted Christ as their Savior, marriages are
being healed, and the unchurched are engaging in the work
of the church. His plan for this second location is more than
we could have ever imagined.
We pray that many, many more will come to know Christ
and will come to call Prestonwood North their home
as we reach out to this unchurched and rapidly growing
population. According to the U.S. Census, the population
within a 10-mile radius of the Highway 380 corridor and
the Dallas Parkway in 1990 was about 40,000. By 2011, the
population is expected to soar to nearly 368,000.
We look forward to the day when we will move from our
temporary meeting place at a high school to our own
worship center. There, an open, light-filled commons will
warmly welcome guests, and a multipurpose wing will
comfortably seat more than 1,750 during each service.
Keeping with the great importance of Bible Fellowship
in the life of Prestonwood members, an education wing
will provide sufficient classroom space for all ages. Adults
will have 10 rooms that will provide enough space for 400
during each Bible Fellowship hour. Children in grades 6 and
younger will have 31 classrooms, providing space for more
than 750 per Bible Fellowship hour. A multi-purpose area
will provide the Student Ministry with space for more than
250 during each service.
The Prestonwood North campus will help us minister to the
needs of the many young families in this burgeoning region.

“The Lord has shown me ... Look at how I
served you and loved you ...You walked into
a ready-made building and your kids were
served in the Children’s Ministry. You need
to go North and do this for someone else.”
