Boomer Fourth of July Blast on the Fifth
More than 350 shared in a delightful evening at the first Prestonwood “Boomer Fourth of July Blast on the Fifth.” Main Street Café provided an excellent Fourth of July Texas barbecue that was simply delicious. Eddy and Maureen Espinosa added such a special touch with their food and presence!
As the crowd gathered and settled in with their food, Amy Jo Scott took the stage and launched the main event! Her mini-concert was comprised of songs and styles for everyone. Her original compositions were all from her newest CD, Behind the Scenes, which is available in the Prestonwood Bookstores.
Perhaps the song that said the most and set the tone for the evening was her composition “You Will Be There for Me,” which spoke to everyone of the incredible love and nature of our heavenly Father for each of us. He wants us to know that He loves every one of us with a passionate intensity too deep for words. (There’s nothing I can do to make God love me more and nothing I can do to make God love me less—He just loves me!).
Many folks stayed and enjoyed different table games and fellowship as the sweet spirit and oneness of family in Christ filled The Commons!
