Boomer Mission Trip/Board Retreat

Fourteen members of the Prestonwood Boomer Board and two staff pastors spent four days in San Antonio in prayer, ministry and planning. They were involved with our Prestonwood Missions working with H.I.S. BridgeBuilders in an east San Antonio mission rally at Eastside Fellowship. It was not only a great blessing to have the opportunity to personally touch the lives of scores of neighborhood people, but it was especially rewarding to come alongside and assist our Children’s Ministry! Diana Pendley led an outstanding group of youngsters and staff who shone for Jesus! Charles Pendley organized our Boomers in a program that afforded us the opportunity to serve the local people in many wonderful ways! We were blessed!

Our Boomer Board prayerfully met in four sessions to organize, discuss, and prepare to set in motion the opening innings of our 1-3-5-10 year ministry objectives. Testimonies that were shared enabled us to grow closer together in oneness of spirit and call as we prayed for His strength and vision for the future! We are excited! The Boomers are ready to launch and there will be opportunities for countless Boomers to be involved in a myriad of ways in the months ahead. Like the old chorus says, “God is so good; He’s so good to me!” Let’s be ready to give His goodness to everyone we meet! To live is Christ; we have so much to share! (Philippians 1:19–26).
