Prepare-Enrich Couple Assessment
6. What is the Prepare‐Enrich assessment?
The Prepare‐Enrich assessment is designed to measure the strength and growth areas of your relationship. Don’t worry! This is not a pass/fail compatibility test. It is designed to make you aware of your areas of strength as well as weaker areas in your relationship that need to be addressed before you step into marriage.
7. What other resources are available to me?
You will receive a printed copy of your assessment report at the conclusion of session 6; this is your copy to keep. You will also be given the opportunity to sign up for an optional meeting with a Coach Couple. These are trained mentor couples in our church experienced in marriage and marriage issues who are available to meet with you to further discuss and encourage you in your relationship and walk with Christ.
Twogether in Texas
8. Is BYSID affiliated with Twogether in Texas?
Yes! Upon completion of this eight‐hour premarital course, a couple will receive a Certificate of Completion, which, when presented to the county clerk, allows a discount on the marriage license. You can find out more about Twogether in Texas by visiting twogetherintexas.com.
9. When is the In‐Law Session?
The In-Law Session is the final session of the course. Couples are encouraged to invite their parents to this luncheon where our class speaker will cover the session material. Childcare is not provided, so please plan accordingly for your family.
10. After BYSID, what next?
We strongly encourage couples to begin doing life with other couples in their life stage by joining a Bible Fellowship.
At the Plano Campus, Foundations is designed specifically for couples who have just completed BYSID. It includes a six‐month rotating curriculum so you can begin attending any time. The class meets on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in Room S208.
