Intern Testimonies

Brent Russell: My internship at Prestonwood has helped me grow intellectually, emotionally, and most of all, spiritually, through the guidance and mentorship here. Through my internship, God has taught me a seminary’s worth of education that will help me know how to connect and help grow the minds of future leaders of His church. Without this internship, I would not have the confidence or spiritual depth that I now have in my ministry. |

Rebecca Benson: The Intern Program has allowed me the opportunity to practice the skills I am learning in seminary and to be mentored by various ministers who are equipping the next generation of those seeking to serve the Lord. From birthday parties for widows to leading Bible studies to counseling at summer camp, I am experiencing all areas of ministry and being further equipped to follow the path in which God is leading me. |

Luis Lama: I have encountered a leadership team at Prestonwood that regards developing people as a priority. I believe that’s what Christ calls the Church to do. It’s really important for me, as a minister in training, to be around people who are serving unconditionally and with a strategic purpose. |

Bill Spots: Interning at a church with a congregation in excess of 28,000 allows access to a wide array of ministries. Although I serve as a Student Ministry intern, I have gained much experience in other divisions of the church. From Missions to Young Singles to Married Adults to Men’s to Sports Ministries to Pastoral, the Intern Program has done a good job of exposing me to several facets of ministry. |
