Amanda Marsrow
Piano
Amanda Marsrow, 26, received a master of music degree in piano performance from Southern Methodist University, where she continues to study with Dr. Carol Leone. Amanda gave her first solo recital at 6, began study with Dr. James Cook at the University of Nebraska at 12 and went on to Baylor University, where she earned a bachelor of music degree with Krassimira Jordan.
She attended the Bosendorfer International Piano Academy on three occasions and has participated in a number of master classes. Amanda has been a prizewinner in the Texas Music Teachers Association Young Artist competition.
Amanda is also active as a chamber musician and accompanist specializing in woodwind repertoire. She is an avid researcher and writer and holds a degree in music history. She currently serves as an adjunct lecturer in music history at Southern Methodist University.
She enjoys cooking, playing chamber music with her husband and running with her dog.
