Summer Session
The School of Fine Arts will be offering a variety of summer programs. Check out the following for exciting musical opportunities for all ages!
Private lessons (all ages and levels):
In an effort to provide fantastic instruction while meeting the needs of busy summer schedules, we are proud to offer eight private lessons during our summer session, which stretches from May 12 – Aug. 2. Our summer session is unique in many ways, but the most outstanding feature is the opportunity for each family to determine when the eight lessons are scheduled. This allows families to plan vacations and student camps, while continuing private lessons.
The eight lessons are to be scheduled with each student’s instructor during the first lesson. We strongly recommend that parents attend the first lesson for scheduling purposes. The summer tuition is nonrefundable and cannot be transferred to the fall semester in the event that a student is not able to complete the projected lesson dates.
If you are a current SOFA student and your instructor is not available for summer lessons, you will be temporarily transferred to another studio for the duration of the summer session. By choosing to participate in the summer session, students are securing his or her place in their current instructor’s studio for the fall semester. Those choosing not to take part in the summer session could loose their spot in their instructor’s fall studio due to the high numbers of student applicants.
Our first day of fall classes is Aug. 18 through Dec. 20. No lessons are planned for Sept. 1–Labor Day, and Nov. 24-29–Thanksgiving holidays. More fall registration information is expected soon.
Payment Options:
There are two options to pay for your summer private lessons:
- Pay in full at registration
- Pay half at registration and half at the fourth lesson. (Payment must be made by credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We are unable to accept Discover at this time.)
Every new student applying for summer camps is required to pay a $25 registration fee due at registration.
Every new student applying for private/group lessons is required to pay a $50 annual registration fee due at registration.
If a student is enrolling in both camps and private lessons, he/she is only required to pay the $50 annual registration fee. Only one $50 registration fee is required for families and for multiple lessons.
Group Lessons: $17 per lesson Payment due IN FULL at registration.
