Me, Myself and Lies
Jennifer Rothschild
This Bible study will encourage women to clean out the junk in their
thoughts and replace hidden negative thoughts and failures with
positive truths from God’s Word. Jennifer Rothschild shares practically
and helpfully from her own life and from Scripture to show how every
woman can turn her words—and her life—around for good. Words
are powerful, especially the words women speak to themselves. All too
often, what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look
in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants
them to speak to their souls.
Taught by Chrissie Dunham (morning and evening)
Room W204
Fireproof Your Marriage
Building strong, God-centered marriages is the focus of this Bible
study. Based on biblical principles, it will equip you for growing
your marriage God’s way, giving practical insights and methods to
strengthen your marriage. We will address biblical womanhood,
forgiveness, submission, communication, conflict, difficulties in
marriage and much more. This study is just the help you need to build
a marriage that will last a lifetime.
Taught by Lisa Simmons (morning); Taught by Trudy Cox (evening)
Room W206
One in a Million
Priscilla Shirer
When God set the Israelites free from captivity, He intended those
millions of people to make it to the Promised Land, but only two
from that group made it. Now, just as then, disobedience and unbelief
will keep you in the wilderness and out of your Promised Land. We
were created to have a deep, intimate relationship with Christ. Do you
want to be that one in a million who actually experiences all God has
planned for your life?
Taught by Jane Jefferson (morning); Micki Maris (evening)
Room W207
Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David
Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur
Recorded live at 2007’s Deeper Still: The Event, Anointed, Transformed,
Redeemed features Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur as they
explore the life of David and their own lives. You’ll laugh with them,
cry with them, and learn to love God with them. Each segment focuses
on David at a different stage of his life: as a young man (Shirer), as a
middle-aged man (Moore), and as a man facing the final third of his
life (Arthur).
Taught by Diane Daugherty (morning); Nancy Chapman (evening)
Room W208
Stepping Up: A Journey through the Psalms of Ascent
Beth Moore
Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope and joy,
these 15 psalms demonstrate how you can voice your own petitions
and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us.
Explore the major feasts of Israel as you journey with Beth through
Psalms 120–134. Themes such as unity, joy, gratitude, redemption,
repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule and more are
explored in detail.
Taught by Jennifer Perkins (morning); Nancy DeVelde (evening)
Room W210
Kinsman-Redeemer: A Precepts Study
If you were a slave, who would buy your freedom? If you had an enemy,
who would come to your defense? In the Old Testament, there was such
a person! This buyer-defender, known as a “kinsman-redeemer” was
usually a close relative. If you’re a believer, you already have one—Jesus
Christ! This rich study shows how Jesus both bought us (Redeemer)
and advocates (defends) for us, offering us an opportunity to rebuild
our broken lives. A great short study to introduce friends to a taste of
inductive Bible study.
Taught by Charlsa Hamner (available Tuesday evening only)
Room W212
The Amazing Collection: Genesis–Deuteronomy
It is amazing how a love letter arriving at just the right time can gladden
the heart, refresh the soul, and restore the passion of the beloved. The
greatest love letter ever written often sits on our shelves unopened as
we go about our lives, sometimes fearful, burdened, anxious, in pain,
and in doubt, not knowing that on its pages we can find all we need
to live the life we have always wanted. The Pentateuch provides an
overview of each of the books you will be studying in this set. The
hopes are that it will help you truly learn these books for life.
Taught by Suzy Bastian (available Tuesday morning only)
Room A208
Wednesdays, 9:30–11:30 a.m.
Esther: It’s Tough Being A Woman
Beth Moore
Esther may have been a queen, but her life was no fairy tale. An outsider, a foreigner, and an orphan, she found herself facing an evil plan to destroy her people. And you thought your life was hard! The Old Testament story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern parallels for today's overloaded and stressed woman. You can share Esther’s destiny—even if your glass slipper no longer seems to fit. Join Beth in an in-depth and very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance. She peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.
