Europe

Ever thought about visiting Eastern Europe and helping introduce someone to Christ? You can by going on a short-term mission trip with our International Missions ministry.

Will you consider going on a mission trip that could change your life and the lives of those you touch with the Good News of Christ? People in Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine and other Eastern European countries are longing to hear the truth that was denied them for so long behind the Iron Curtain of the former Soviet Union. Their hearts are open, and the fields are ripe for harvest.

Suceava, Romania

Since 1992, hundreds of Prestonwood members have helped lead more than 9,000 people to Christ while planting more than 100 new churches in Romania. Mission work includes helping Romanian Baptist pastors in areas such as evangelism, church planting, medical and dental care, leadership training, and strengthening existing works.

Suceava – the birthplace of an old civilization with strong cultural and social influences from Transylvania – is located in the northeastern part of Romania (an area known as Bucoviana). Situated in the Carpathian Mountains, Suceava is a beautiful country compared by many to Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

Although an Orthodox country, the evangelical presence and influences are powerful. Two Baptist churches there are working together to fulfill the Great Commission. Daniel Boingeanu, Pastor of Maranata Baptist Church in Suceava, has led a tremendous evangelistic work in this area through a wonderful mission ministry and through the use of a community daycare program and outreach.

Constanta, Romania

Lying at the crossroads of the major links of communication between the Western and Eastern worlds, Constanta is a bustling area of almost 350,000 people. In this major seaport on the western coast of the Black Sea, two million tourists visit the beautiful beaches and nearby mineral spas every year. The third largest city in Romania, with a local state university that accommodates 17,000 students, Constanta is a central and strategic location from which the Gospel can go forth.

Pastor Daniel Fodorean is a young, dynamic, mature and gifted teacher who, with his wife and young son, serves at Golgotha Baptist Church, a strategic church with a great vision of church planting and leadership training. Pastor Daniel is also the President of the Constanta Baptist Association and founder of Antioch Leadership Center. He travels extensively to other churches to encourage and equip young pastors while working on his Doctorate Degree in Theology.
