But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8
We Speak To Nations
At Prestonwood, everything we do is focused on helping fulfill the Great Commission and being a part of what God is doing in our world.
Throughout the year, each of us is encouraged to give financially in order to further the work of Southern Baptist missionaries
across our state, nation and world.
The light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is penetrating our troubled world at a rate perhaps faster than at any other time in
modern history. People groups that have been isolated and inaccessible are now being reached with the Good News. Helping lead
this charge are Southern Baptists, both here in America and across the world. The year 2005 proved to be very fruitful:
- 10,508 international and North American Southern Baptist missionaries brought the Gospel to more than 180 countries.
- 459,725 people were baptized overseas.
- 17,676 new Southern Baptist churches were planted.
- 108,713 Southern Baptist churches with 7.3 million members were active in God's work overseas.
God continues to break down walls to fulfill His purpose that all the world might be saved. Yet tragically, there remains
much to be done. More than 1.6 billion people have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is why we need to continue
to give generously to the missions offering every December and continue to help support our Southern Baptist missionaries!
It is through our World Missions Offering that we join fellow Southern Baptists from more than 44,000 churches to support
thousands of international and national missionaries, and local missions. Simply place your gift in an offering envelope and
designate the gift to “World Missions.” Offering envelopes are located in the pews of the Worship Center.
Thank you for your continued generous support!
