Our Special Needs Ministry—we like to call it "Special Friends"—is a Christ-centered environment with a person-centered emphasis that enables families to focus on the entire family's spiritual growth.

At Prestonwood, we view special needs as a different ability rather than a disability.

With a program for children and a separate ministry for youth/adults, each person can be ministered to by qualified staff at his or her own age level, helping to give the inspiration and freshness of His presence for which these families long.

With the addition of five new classrooms designed specifically for Special Friends in the recently opened Saunders Children's Building, this ministry is growing to meet the physical as well as the spiritual needs of our Special Friends.

Bible Fellowship and Activities

Bible Fellowship and fun activities are provided during the Saturday night service and both Sunday Worship Services. We would love for you to join us.

Respite (fun activities provided for children with special needs and their siblings while their parents get a much-needed break)

There is no charge for this activity, but reservations are required by the Wednesday afternoon before the event. Call 972-820-5468 or e-mail for reservations.

Encouragement Lunch
The Special Needs Ministry hosts a lunch for parents on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m. Besides having a speaker on a variety of helpful topics, it is a time to get to know one another and learn helpful information from each other.

Encouragement Lunches will resume at a later date.  Check back for more details.

AWANA

We welcome Special Friends to AWANA on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m.
