Children’s Weekend Bible Fellowship Directors and Teachers

Children’s Weekend Bible Fellowship Nursery & Preschool Teachers
Directors and teachers are needed for preschool Bible Fellowships (birth through kindergarten) on Saturdays at 4:45 and 6:00 p.m. or on Sundays at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. Our leaders have the option of serving every week or every other week. Substitute Teachers
The Children's Ministry is looking for substitute teachers who are willing to be on-call, but who will not necessarily teach every week. The ministry would also like to have a volunteer to be a hall monitor—someone to watch the hall, making sure that kids get in and out of the restroom safely, that parents find their child’s class, and that crafts get passed out. A volunteer in KidZone would be great, too! The volunteer would help children find their class seats. For elementary (grades 1–6) volunteering, contact Meghann Head at 972-820-5108 or . 

Floating Volunteers
The Preschool and Kindergarten Ministry is looking for floating volunteers who are willing to serve in any age classroom when a teacher is running late or calls in sick. The volunteer may be asked to assist in telling the Bible story. This volunteer will serve every other week or every week. In addition to serving in the classroom, this volunteer will serve in the hallway, helping visitors find their rooms, assisting teachers, and passing out extra crafts or supplies as needed. AWANA
AWANA Leaders
Bible Clubs for children ages 2–grade 6 meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. each Wednesday during the school year. Each week, about 200 caring adults are needed to listen to children say their Bible verses and accompany them to the various activities. We also have security positions open during this time period.

AWANA Check-In Volunteers
Each Wednesday, we need volunteers to work security at the doors from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. and volunteers to run the check-in kiosks at four different locations in the Children’s Ministry Building from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. We also need volunteers to assist at computer check-in stations and to perform badge checks at door entrances. CREATIVE MINISTRY
Creative Ministry
We are currently looking for a wide variety of volunteers who are interested in any of the following: leading worship (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard), operating technical/media for worship, operating cameras, sound or lighting equipment for video shoots, or assisting with the weekly video element in any way. If you are looking for a creative, encouraging environment, please  call 972-820-5276. The only experience needed is a willing heart; we will train.

Security Team Greeters
Here’s your opportunity to welcome families to Prestonwood! We’d love for you to be a greeter in the children’s area on Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings. Your bright smile and warm handshake could be just what’s needed for a family bringing kids to Saturday and Sunday Bible Fellowships. We also need volunteers to help with check-in at the kiosks and walk first-time visitors to their classrooms. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Medical professionals (doctors, nurses, EMTs, CNAs, PAs, FNPs) are needed to be on-call for the Children’s Ministry during Worship Services and Bible Fellowships on the weekends. This ministry is for treating preschoolers and grade-school children when minor incidents/illnesses (not emergencies) occur. If assistance is needed, these volunteers will be paged to report to one of two First Aid Rooms. SPECIAL NEEDS
Special Needs Ministry
Join this extraordinary Jesus ministry, which enables families to focus on spiritual growth. Bible Fellowship Directors and leaders are needed in classes uniquely designed for our children and adults with special needs on Wednesday and Saturday evenings as well as Sunday mornings. Security and greeters are needed in the Special Needs Ministry suite. A large need is for "shadows" (buddies who assist special friends into typical classes) to enhance socialization through mainstreaming. We also need coaches and one-on-one buddies for the children and adults with disabilities who will participate in the STARS Special Needs Sports Ministry which includes baseball, cheerleading, basketball and soccer.  Call 972-820-5333 for more information.
