Minister of Student Discipleship
Phil McMichael
My favorite character in the Bible is:
Caleb
My life verse is:
Don't have one, but I did put 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6 over my door at home, just for a reminder of God's expectations for my time
On my iPod:
JWood, Cayerio, U2, B.B. King
My last meal would be:
Barbecued shrimp, French bread, sweet tea from Deanies in Metarie
I'm most excited about:
Unchurched people meeting Jesus
The team I root for most is:
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
My proudest moment is:
Every time Michael Wood thinks he's going to beat me in ping pong, and I run off the last 10 points to beat him
If I could, I’d:
Dunk a basketball one time, and film it so I could put it on YouTube
I could eat:
Whatever you put in front of me and never crack 170 pounds
My pet peeve is:
People who think they work hard but really do not. Pray for me. I need to be more merciful and less judgmental.
My perfect day would be:
Beat Federer in tennis at 8. Lead him to Christ at 9:30. Clean up. Lead Kim Jong-il to the Lord over the phone at 10. Read the Bible for a little while. Family crawfish boil in Lake Charles for lunch, rest, at 2 lead a Bible study for a group of lost students and see all of them be born again, fly to Los Angeles, sit in the owners’ box at Dodgers Stadium with Tommy Lasorda for game 7 of the World Series, and during the seventh-inning stretch lead him to Christ, then watch Andre Ethier hit a walk off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to clinch the title. Roll out a sleeping bag in the outfield. Drink half a gallon of chocolate milk. Read the Bible and talk to God for a while about a crazy day. Fall asleep on the outfield grass.
My favorite childhood memory is:
Dodgers-Braves doubleheader with my dad (Dodgers won both games)
In my free time, I:
Work in the yard, exercise, read the Bible
If I could do it over again, I’d:
Try to glorify God with my life in high school
My favorite TV show is:
MLB baseball playoffs or Extreme Home Makeover
Three people I would want to have a meal with:
Jesus Christ, my grandfather and Paul Prudhomme (he’d cook for us)
