Prestonwood North Campus
When Prestonwood moved from North Dallas to Plano in 1999, Pastor Graham knew that the move to a burgeoning suburb and all that came with it wouldn't mark the end of the church's legacy. With membership growing to 27,000 and dozens and dozens of ministries reaching the community, the nation and the world for Christ, Pastor Graham recognized God had much more in store because of the promise of Ephesians 3:20–21.
It was just a matter of listening for God's direction on what to do next. About three years ago, Pastor Graham and church leaders felt the Lord's calling to do as God commands in Isaiah 54:2–3:
“Enlarge the place of your tent...lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.”
Vision of Prestonwood North Campus
The vision for Prestonwood North Campus became clear. In the thriving U.S. Highway 380 Corridor, many have never heard the Gospel; many have left the Church, and others are simply looking for "a church to call home."
In April 2006, our church family began meeting in home groups. In August 2006, Prestonwood North Campus held its first service at Prosper High School, where a gym was transformed into a place of worship by our servant-hearted members who worked tirelessly every week. During this early part of our journey, we experienced many "firsts," from our first baptism to our first Easter and Christmas services to our first community outreach event.
In May 2007, Prestonwood celebrated the groundbreaking of Prestonwood North Campus. Remarkably, on Oct. 12, 2008, we gathered in our new facility to give thanks to God for the vision and His provision. We praise Him for the grace and blessings bestowed on Prestonwood North Campus.
And as this region grows with more and more families moving in, our legacy of faith and our mission remain clear—rising up as messengers of hope, boldly sharing our faith with confidence, and inviting those in need to come to this place of hope. These are special times in the life of our church, and ... the best is yet to come.
