“Commitment” is a word that seems to run counter to today’s culture, where marriages dissolve on a whim, unborn children are casually disposed of and yesterday’s values fall in the face of today’s bottom line. But commitment is at the core of the Christian life—Paul compares it to a long-distance race—and we at Prestonwood are committed to reaching our neighborhoods and our world for the sake of our Savior. Beyond All Limits bears the fruit of our commitments.
The Bible teaches us to raise our children in the ways of the Lord, to care for those in need. The Saunders Children’s Building will help us do both. Designed for our youngest members, and those with special needs, the building brings the love of Jesus to new generations.
That love embraces our young people, too, our “Generation Now.” This year, Prestonwood focuses on the needs of our students, pilgrims only beginning their walk through a foreign and hostile world. We’re committed to equipping them with the unfailing power of God’s truth.
The harvest fields stretch far beyond the reach of our Plano campus, though, so we step out to carry the Good News of Christ to our region and across the world.
PowerPoint broadcasts biblical truth to hundreds of cities and scores of countries around the globe. And through Beyond All Limits, technological advances will increase our reach into a seeking world desperate for God’s salvation.
We reach out, too, to the fast-growing communities along the 380 Corridor with our North Campus. In a few weeks, we’ll start construction of a permanent home on 130 acres in Prosper.
But already, our church’s commitment to neighbors up north is unmistakable. Dozens of volunteers put their faith in motion each week, rising before the sun to transform Prosper High School into a place of worship for their neighbors and friends, putting a human face on God’s great love.
And we see that same level of commitment among our staff.
We honor the contributions of my great friend Todd Bell on his 15th anniversary at Prestonwood. His leadership and faithful service inspire all around him.
His vision for our amazing Music and Worship Ministry helps us lift our eyes to our ultimate goal, our heavenly home with our Savior and Lord. And it strengthens us for our commitment to winning this world for Jesus.
