The Men’s Ministry mission statement is “to biblically equip men to be the spiritual
leaders in their home, their church and their place of business.” The Friday Morning
Men’s Bible Studies, small groups and Project Timothy, a mentoring program,
provide an incredible array of discipleship opportunities. We echo Pastor Jack
Graham’s belief that the way to change the heart of the community is to change the
hearts of its men. In the past few months, hundreds have been blessed at the Plano
Campus with an incredible series by Associate Pastor Neal Jeffrey titled The Dad I
Want To Be. And the men at the North Campus experience an encouraging time
together each week in fellowship, prayer and teaching. Continuing our focus on
spiritual health, more than 500 men participated in Discipleship Classes this fall
at both campuses. Minister to Men Bill Borinstein anticipates a great spring with
the Men’s Retreat, Spring Discipleship Classes and Project Timothy. For details

Prestonwood Sports Organization
Drive by the sports fields or drop by the Sports & Fitness Center at the Plano Campus
on any given day, and you’re sure to see a lot going on! Every year, more than 8,000
children and 3,000 adults participate in sports leagues. Through this incredible
outreach (many who participate are not members of the church), PSO has brought
countless souls to Christ, from parents to players to league officials, said Minister of
Sports Outreach Joe Perry. With a diversity of camps, leagues, classes and programs
for all ages, PSO provides something for everyone. And although the competition
is stiff, sportsmanship is required and staff-written value lessons are distributed to
participants. Whether basketball, football, boot camp, soccer or a number of other
activities, participants receive training not only for the game, but for life. “I have been
thrilled to see PSO turn into the greatest evangelistic sports program of its nature
in the world,” Joe said. PSO is currently raising funds for future sports programs for
the North Campus. For more information about PSO, visit www.psosports.com. If
you’ve never used the Sports & Fitness Center, come by and give it a try! If you’ve not joined a league, try adult basketball.
Registration for the adult basketball league begins the first week of January.
Women’s Ministry
The Lord is moving and stirring the hearts of women at Prestonwood! At
both the Plano Campus and North Campus, Bible study participation is at
an all-time high with hundreds being challenged weekly through in-depth
study. In the days ahead, women of all ages can be sure to find many
mission and ministry opportunities to plug in to including adult tutoring
at Turner Courts, H.I.S. Eye Clinic patient care and support, and Women
Reach Women Ministry for those facing specific personal challenges such
as infertility, divorce and cancer. “The Lord has put in my heart a burning
passion for women to reach out to other women and share how the Lord
can change a life and bring hope to any situation,” Director of Women’s
Ministry Debbie Stuart said. For more information on the Women’s
Ministry at Plano, visit www.prestonwood.org/women. For Prestonwood
North, visit www.prestonwood.org/north. Be on the lookout for the “Light
for the Journey” event at the Plano Campus on Jan. 17, the North Campus Winter Warm Up on Jan. 24, and “The Time of
Your Life” Women’s Retreat on March 28-29!
