"We were very goal oriented, the goal to succeed, the goal to graduate, the goal to get high-paying jobs, to get a house. What happens when you achieve those, you look around and there’s nothing to focus on. It’s almost as if we created our own crisis. God was just not in our marriage at all. We wore each other out and grew apart and divorced....I never expected her to want to be back with me, after five years. I was forgiven a lot not only by Jesus Christ but by Shannon...I’m a new Christian, and He immediately restored my life, my hopes and dreams. I have a future now, an eternal future.
